The Qinling Panda Breeding Research Center in Shaanxi, China, is home to an extremely rare brown panda named “Qizai”.
Visitors to the center have recently had the opportunity to see and film Qizai enjoying a bath, showcasing his unique brown fur.
According to the research centre, Qizai is the only captive brown giant panda in the world. It was born in 2009.
Unlike the black and white fur of the Sichuan panda, Qizai’s brown fur is a distinguishing characteristic of the Qinling panda, a subspecies of this giant animal with a smaller skull.
